Study in the UK

The United Kingdom has become one of the top destinations to study around the world, with more than 500,000 international students enrolling each year. Going to university in the UK is a great way to expand your knowledge, meet new people, experience a new culture, and enjoy new experiences. The UK has much to offer international students that other English-speaking countries cannot.

Safe to study abroad during COVID-19

The health and wellbeing of students are now paramount across all learning establishments. So, if you’re unsure about studying in the UK following the global pandemic, the UK has taken every possible measure to ensure students’ safety. The UK is keen to return to ‘business as usual’ and that means they’re working incredibly hard behind the scenes to protect everyone now and into the future. They’ll do this for as long as it takes — so everyone can all get back to studying and back to work.

It’s a great place to live and study

The United Kingdom (UK) is made up of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales. Each country has distinct regions, each offering large cosmopolitan cities, towns, and countryside villages.

The UK has a multicultural society, with a rich diversity of cultures, languages, and faiths. You’ll find widely varied cuisine, strong transport links, famous music festivals, and international sporting championships.

Work opportunities while you study

Your student visa means that you’re able to work up to 20 hours per week in a part-time job. The UK also has a guaranteed minimum wage, meaning you could earn a minimum of £118.00 before tax per week to help fund your studies.

Or, you can consider an internship through your university at one of the many internationally famous companies based in the UK, such as the BBC, Rolls-Royce, or Burberry. One way or another, your resume will look great after completing your study abroad experience.

Worldwide recognition

Degrees and qualifications from UK higher education institutions are known around the world as high quality and world-class. This standard of excellence is set by some older universities with recognizable names. When looking for work in the future, this can be a great selling point in your favor.

The United Kingdom has the National Health Service, which means if you are studying in the UK for 6 months or more you are able to access healthcare completely free of charge. You still have to pay for medicine, but this is also capped under the NHS and you will only ever pay £8.60 per item, regardless of how expensive the medicine you have been prescribed is. This comes as a great benefit to students who are worried about funding their study abroad experience.
